The House Snake Guy

My research interests include the abundance and distribution of amphibians and reptiles and the potential causal factors of these distributions.
I undertake annual surveys of the ponds in my home town of East Kilbride to determine the population size and spread of the native amphibians, chiefly the common frog (Rana temporaria) and smooth newt (Lissotriton vulgaris).  I am currently undertaking a number of self-led projects in the field of ecology with a view to publishing the data in peer-reviewed journals.  Check back here and the publications page of my site regularly for details.
